I was delighted to be asked by an existing client to help with the refurbishment of their main reception area and office space for their exclusive Holiday Lodge business on the North Cornish Coast. Literally hugging the cliff, with stunning sea views, I just knew that we had to have a ‘waterside’ vibe and was instantly inspired to use this amazing shaded wallpaper from Designers Guild – it just reminded me of the sea horizon merging into the sky. A vintage desk for writing those holiday postcards, backs onto a comfortable seating area with sofas and soft cushions, finished with oversized table lamps for atmospheric lighting. Two more upright oak and wicker armchairs allow for additional seating as required. The practical vinyl floor, which helps to disguise the sand and muddy paw prints, is softened with sisal floor rugs. A very cool welcome to this hot coastal location.
